踏點 Support
If you run into trouble in the field, while organizing photos or while exporting, start with the notes below or contact Logua Studio.
First run
- Allow “While Using the App” location access when prompted. Creating points and attaching positions to photos also needs Location Services turned on in iOS Settings.
- Allow camera access when you want to shoot, and photo access when you want to import photos from the library or set a company logo.
- Create a project first, then add points from the map or through the camera flow. Before real work, export one small test file to confirm the delivery format.
Common questions
Why is the position inaccurate?
Phone positioning is affected by GNSS signal, obstructions, indoor environments, weather, device orientation and nearby magnetic fields. Results that matter should still be confirmed with professional instruments and on-site checks.
Location never completes, or the button does nothing
Check Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services and confirm both the system service and 踏點's permission are on, then refresh the position outdoors with a clear view of the sky. If it still fails, note the iPhone model, iOS version, app version and roughly where you were — and don't delete existing project data just to retry.
Camera or photo library not working
Check camera and photo permissions in Settings > Privacy & Security. Photos imported from the library without GPS EXIF are left without a position — the app does not guess one. You can instead create a point from your current location and attach the photo to that point. When “save captured photos to library” is on, only new photos taken inside the app are copied there.
Why do TWD67 / TWD97 conversions differ slightly?
踏點 uses a conversion suitable for general field records. TWD67 / TWD97 values are approximate and are not intended for cadastral boundary work, construction acceptance or legal boundary determination.
An imported photo has no coordinates
Some photos carry no GPS EXIF, or photo library access is limited. Confirm the photo itself contains location information and that 踏點 is allowed to read it.
What can I do with the exported files?
踏點 exports CSV, GeoJSON, KML, TXT and photo packages, plus PDF reports, KMZ and full ZIP archives with Pro. Different formats suit spreadsheets, GIS software, map viewers or report delivery.
Export fails, hangs, or the file is too large
Check that the device has enough free space, then try fewer photos, exporting one project at a time, turning off PDF maps you don't need, or a smaller delivery format. Afterwards you can re-share or clear old delivery files in Settings > Recent Exports; clearing them does not delete your original points and photos.
How do I send diagnostic information?
To troubleshoot location, photo or export problems, generate a report file in Settings > Diagnostics, then send it yourself with Mail or the system share sheet. Diagnostic files are never uploaded automatically; review the contents and share only what you are willing to provide.
Trial and purchase
What happens to my data when the trial ends?
Everything you already have is kept, and you can still open, view, edit and export it. Only creating new projects, points and photos requires Pro.
Are the core Pro features a subscription?
No. The current core Pro features are unlocked with a one-time purchase. This purchase is not a subscription and does not renew automatically.
How do I restore my purchase on a new phone?
Sign in with the same Apple Account you purchased with, open the purchase screen in the app and tap Restore Purchases.
Is English supported? What language are the PDFs in?
The app is available in English and Traditional Chinese, following your iPhone's language setting. PDF reports are produced in the app's current language.
What can I export in each state?
- During the trial (seven days after installing): every format is available, including PDF reports, KMZ and full ZIP archives.
- After the trial, without Pro: CSV, GeoJSON, KML, TXT and photo packages. PDF reports, KMZ and full ZIP archives require Pro. Your existing data is not locked — it can still be exported in those formats.
- With Pro: every format is available.
When reporting a problem, please include
- iPhone model, iOS version and app version.
- The screen where it happened, the steps you took, and whether it reproduces reliably.
- For export problems: the format, PDF template, and how many points and photos were involved.
- A diagnostic file from the app if relevant — please don't paste precise addresses or sensitive photos into the email unnecessarily.
